Tablet/Software/OS Test

i got done with the lesson that my mother wanted me to get done with, so my grandfather let me plug my tablet into one of his computers to see if Ubuntu 14.04 would work with it before we update the version I have, 12.04. Is it sad that i like this free software i got off the Ubuntu Software Centre better than my copy of Photoshop that i have on my laptop?
